Shell of Love

Shells of love where lovers lay, Their true souls now far away. Displaced by honesty they, Close their hearts on all to say. One will depart, the other remain. He hurts her to lessen love's pain. Misguided hearts beat the same, Laughing and bleeding in each other's game. Fear is the thread linking love's lost flame, Kaleidoscope of deceit sours the aim.
