This is fiction... Debbiieeeeeee I love you :)

Just like that, she’s gone for good, She flew off with the breeze, She floated through my mental door, And left me on my knees, To clean up poems she’d written, To sweep them in a pan, The poems scratched in my mind, That say I’m not a man, Still, it’s not the first time she’s left like this, She’d vanished once before, She’d disappeared quick, just like this, She’d left me wanting more, But this time I’m alert, I’m ready, I’ll put on my hardened mask, And stand up tall, with pride and faith, This time I know what not to ask.

I love the snap and the austere resolve in this piece!
