She Went Fishing

She caught me line and hook like a fish.
And even though the wait had been painful I thought in the back of my mind this is it.
The bait was just the appetizer.
My heart pumps harder and harder as the line gets reeled back in.
When I finally reach her hands and she unhooks me from the hook she gives me one good glance than flings me back into the ocean with a fierce thrust of the hand.
A huge splash is all you could hear, at least the sound might mask my pain.
Even though I was free to go I was still prisioned inside.
Because just like with fishing Ive just had a hook in my mouth at least figuratively.
Excepts its my heart that is cut and left for dead bleeding in the water.
I swim away. And I dont think I will ever be the same.
Thats the last thing said and than I sunk under water.

Being baited, caught and tossed away is a painful experience, Shahana. This is awesome! Great writing. Love, Carolyn
