She Was Not Easy To Unleash
No one wanted to get to know her.
She’s a Pandora’s Box waiting to happen!
This intrigued me; I ran toward her.
Loving the challenge of it.
She was not easy; had been a recluse for years.
We became friendly, friends, eventually best friends.
She was not easy to unleash,
She had cemented herself inside.
When her husband died she had stopped living.
Forcing herself into a barren cave, a cell actually.
It was not a gentle process to remind her of her humanness
Luckily I am a party animal, and was up to the challenge.
I dragged her out of her darkness,
I forced her into trying new things.
I became her advocate and champion
Until she eventually championed herself.
Then I let her go, but not easily.
She and I are still best friends.
She now travels and does daring new things
Without my aide; and I am ever so proud of her.
