She Was Everything -Part 1-

8/20/12

Another collaboration with Justin Connor. :) It’s fun pulling people into writing gory, creepiness—and them actually not minding. At least I don’t think he minds. ;)

----------------------------------------------------------

The ache is returning in full force What is this horrid feeling? And why does it leave a crooked smile on my face? The itch is back, scratching lightly I must satisfy the itch . . . I must Two voices speak to me— One telling me to spare the person’s life, The other telling me to go for it Pulled between these two voices The emotions of life twisting Lifting its ugly head at me They don’t know I am here Lifting my ugly head at them Watching as they sip their drinks Laughter toiling through my brain Cruel laughter . . . Why am I here? Tell me I am not. . . Grinded by the voices—bounded My eyes flicker open to certainty Then I see her Among the rest And the pressures of the ache grow I am still conflicted between the two voices But my mind always says to go for it As if there is something I have to do Something I need to do . . .

Laura you have cultivated an undeniable genius for intense and clear description - such an admirable gift bestowed upon you by the Cosmos that you unquestioningly deserve! Certainly you can be a phenomenal prose or story writer - sometimes being devious and self serving can seem so right - "laughter toiling through my brain..." "grinded by the voices..." real command of imagination here - instincts are a beautiful thing - with respect - J.A.B. %
