Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved... That's what it takes.

She was Catholic, I a Baptist By Franklin Price Sunday 02/06/2022 She was Catholic, I a Baptist As Christians not so far apart We both believe Christ died for us That same belief's in both our hearts How we got to that point The procedure's not the same I know we'll meet again in Heaven We both believe, in Jesus' name When Barbara passed three weeks ago The priest came to our house He gave her absolution She was Catholic and my spouse. We had not been to any church For around eleven years I thanked him for his coming And I hugged him through my tears This morning I went to his church To hear his mass and praise the Lord I saw Christ was on the cross At service end the wine was poured The communion then was taken And I watched it from the pew I did no partaking I did not know what to do. When the service was all over As the priest walked down the aisle I stopped him, thanked him once again We hugged each other, with a smile I was so glad I called him For the Catholic she had been That he'd hug a Baptist in his church I may go that way again
