She Wanted To Be a Nun

SHE WANTED TO BE A NUN After graduating from eighth grade, She wanted to be part of the novitiate, of the Holy Sisters of Nazareth. Dad put his foot down loud and hard. How she went from that, to nurse,to teacher ,to comedian and bellydancer? Are eternal questions to which she just cannot find any answers! Who knows what her zany future may bring? A palace, a Mercedes? Better yet. perchance a loving, handsome king? She has no unicorns of fairies dancing in her house. They are all on vacation now~so the poet's only companion is a cheese-loving, visiting field mouse! November 15, 2019

El Professesor. You have a word missing in the first sentence..or am eye wrong?)) I told you many times you should be a comedy writer. Comedians buy jokes. I did not have to...I was one LOL (Laid Out Laughing) Panagiota

This is so funny because I was just telling Leanne that when I was in 8th grade I was thinking of becoming a Priest while at St, Christina

This is true poetry, born of a true and finely talented poetic heart. Yes, our wishes, hopes, drams and fantasies are a part of us and especially so for true and dedicated poets! Great poetry my friend, a gem and a fine fav too.

Panagiota, I like this poem and storied fate. The riddle asked. Why not revere like the nun, live in home as a palace, drive like it's a Mercedes? Why not dream like the mouse? -Richard

Richard, you are a true riot with phemonal ideas. PS. I do like cheese. Actually, I write nothing...it's the mouse that does. I don't exist at all. Panagiota is a figment of your imagination. We are all riding unicorns feigning sanity...LOL
