She Tides In the East

The stars twinkle at the day, As the sun goes down in the West. And I gaze on-and-on, For the elusive one. I know the moon is there Somewhere, in the skies; And invisible though It may seem; Its newness enchants The freshness of the night And I feel the warmth, As it grows each day; To blossom to its full Far out in the East. And by the tides, I would love to watch; The white caps Wax and wane.
