She Thinks

I sit here, on these steps
Just thinking;
I just know,
She can't start to conceive.
(what I'm thinking)
How I feel right now,
Isn't anything close to what I told her.
I told her a penny,
Compared to a dollar bill.
She can't possibly start to imagine
Just what I'm wishing.
And she thinks she knows
Just what I'm feeling.

I wish I could tell her.
I would start tearing
Before I even spoke.
What if she won't believe me.
She won't understand.
It's not worth trying for,
It's only worth dying for;
It's not worth being.
