She Said... He Said

SELFISH...

Who are we kidding?
Things have changed,
We have changed…

We use to be two peas in a pod,
I use to be your reason for breathing,
You use to be the air that I breathed…

We need to find
That common ground again,
We need to talk things through…

If US is what you
Really want…

Reality is,
You were the one who left,
You were the one that wanted more…

You thought she was your everything
You thought she understood your needs…

Life does not change with the click of your finger,
This isn’t relationship make over…

You may not be what I need anymore,
You see you’ve taught me
A brilliant lesson when you left…

You taught me how to not depend on you,
How to live my life as an individual,
How to live my life for me…

Does that mean that I’m selfish?

If so?

Then this ME deserves to be
SELFISH…

I AM SORRY...

I am sorry for making you feel
You weren’t good enough…

I am sorry for leaving you
And choosing her over you…

I am sorry for thinking
I could live my life without you..

I know I’ve hurt you,
I have no right
To say you’re SELFISH…

I want you to know..
I will be here,
In the background…

Until you are ready,
Until you are ready to
TAKE ME BACK…

Very Clever and enjoyed. The audacity of love sometimes. The thing about love is it takes two people to tango and two people to make it work. Just my opinion. Love, Susan
