She Put Him There

She awakened early this morning
As the sun still had not recovered
                                                From the day prior
                                                 Through the dark
                                                  She felt her way
                                                To her destination
                                                It was warm there
                                               There were smells
                                              There was a sense
                                                Of security, comfort
                                             She felt assured and
                                             Reached through the
                                           Darkness for that which
                                         She wanted and so needed
It was him, the man upon her
                                                         pedestal
