She Is a Mother
It begins with a sigh
You don't utter a word
A simple touch, then a gasp
Every breath can be heard
Two people together for mere satisfaction
Caught up in the moment
The law of attraction
He'll listen intently
As she'll struggle to whisper
"I'm sorry, don't leave me"
"Will you be my Mr."
Will she endure alone
Or he lead by exception
Either way nine months later
The result of conception
A noisy room full of people
Silence; you can't hear a murmur
The nurses speak softly
The doctor's much firmer
"Hold it, hold it" she'll hear
Forcing herself to breathe
"You've got this, come on"
"Don't let your energy leave"
In an instant, it's over
He glances back at the team
The silence is broken
By a curdling scream
This feat she's accomplished
Will surpass any other
She is strong, she is woman
Yes, she is a Mother
