She ignited the spark in my soul

Inspired by Johnny Cash and June Carter. An epic love story.

She ignited the spark in my soul

She was the sun and moon and stars
She was everything I adored
And yet I felt completely too small
Unable to give her the love and life she deserved

It never dawned on me, not once
That she would embrace me as I am
She would give me love and light with grace
She would believe in the possibilities of us

Instead of faith, I took the road of fear
I landed up in the darkest abyss
Unable to claw my way out
Unable to see light anywhere

But she, oh she, yes she
She came down into hell for me
She ignited the spark in my soul
She ignited the warmth in my heart

She lit up that dark space with her brilliance
She shone her light fiercely and bravely
That love and light went on and on
And turned hell into heaven for all

She was the sun and moon and stars
She became everything to me, and more
Unlocking the gates to my prison
Setting my heart and soul free to soar

As one we embraced our future
As one, we conquered every fear
Our love healed every heartache
Our love overcame sorrows and tears

For she, oh she, yes she
She came down into hell for me
She ignited the spark in my soul
She ignited the warmth in my heart

She lit up that dark space with her brilliance
She shone her light fiercely and bravely
That love and light went on and on
And turned hell into heaven for all
