She has the greenest face, he told his mother. She looked at him cautiously. And that appeals to you? Not really, but you should see her eyes. What color are they? They are the bluest of the bluest blue. They are loving and caring and gentle. They look at you as if you are the only man in the world. His mother knew then that she would never hold skin color against this woman. She had never thought skin color was a big deal anyway. I want to meet her, she told him.
