She Has Been Through Some Things

Things that would make your head swim
Things that may make your heart bleed with chagrin
But, Now standing
Looking back over the pages of her life
Wondering why so many things
Had appeared trying to cause her much strife
When no one understood
Or came around
She had an indelible strength
That coursed her veins through
When called upon, it was a true force to be reckoned with
Yes, my friends she has been through some things

The men who were in her life
Were to represent strength and honor
You will find that she will not knock them hard
After all, they were only men,
Who perhaps had been through some trying things too~

Even with the women in her life that were supposed to be there
In order to teach her what was good in the world
For the sake of her womanhood
Seemed to busy prissing and preening themselves for a future
With a generation of men who would seem to be their junior
Yes, she has been through some things
However, she would never whine to you

She now can look back and smile
Because she sought out the answers
That would indeed bring her through
Unbroken, even in a piercing silence found
Her feet are most assuredly planted; on solid ground
Yes, she been through some things

If you’ve ever truly lived at all
You know that you have been through
Some things too…

Many Blessings, She has been through some things…
