She Has Arrived

She has arrived A flash of shadowed eyes Masks a simmering coolness. A collective breath ensues. A trail of rainbowesque mystery Shimmers about her Roses pale as she brushes past them, Geese concede in “V” farewell salute. She commands the room Enthralls, entices, entraps Both willing and reticent. She cannot help herself It is her fate Her gift and her curse. She is neither harlot Nor homemaker She is but the aura of Autumn. She has arrived. She is October. John G. Lawless ©9/30/2022

Delightful John and such creative use of personification - October as a lovely woman. Enjoyed this delightful gem.
