Woah, this is absolutely a cruel scenario, where flogging used to be given as punishment and is continued still today.. Really disheartening.. But, I must say that this is a very creative and thoughtful take for the cinquain poetry contest, you've taken a different approach and conveyed immense depth within few words.. Wonderfully crafted!

In the east, it carries a penalty of up to 100 lashes or even stoning to death, depending on the interpretation of the country's laws. In the West, you get away with murder. However, I loved your cinquain. Blessings
