She Found Love

She didn’t want to lose love's embrace, Though goodbye stared at her face, She pushed against the tide of separation, Adding flavours to love's daily preparation. Each kiss was an ominous sign, The passion didn’t align, Shadow routed its way, Hope stealthy became a lost ray. Broken hearts take time to heal, Happiness too distant to feel, She strived for a change, Fanning the receding range, She didn’t want another hero, After everything grounded to zero, She later found love's true light, It haloed her into the night. *In memory of Tina Turner June 21, 2023.
