She Feels

She was lost
And didn't know how to feel anymore.
She was both happy and sad
At the same time.

Nobody knew how she really felt
She kept it quiet
She kept it for herself.

She's lost so much
And gained so little.
She never felt good enough
For anyone.
Not even for herself.

She walked with a smile
Like everything was fine.
But deep down she knew
She was living a lie.

She would forgive
Over and over again.
She expected too much
She never learned to let go.

What she wants is to not feel
Because when she does,
All she feels is pain.
She wishes that ...
She never had to feel again.
