She Doesn'T Deserve a Love Song

She doesn't deserve a love song from me
She may be right for you, but she done a lot of wrong to me
Cupid got his aim wrong, it appears she doesn't belong with me
You might give her the right words, but she doesn't deserve a love song from me

We shared some of the loveliest days
Sometimes the most beautiful thing ends in the ugliest way
I put on a fake smile, but my heart only just survived the break
I was drowning until I learned how to ride the wave

Your promises and words didn't mean a thing
I learned to fly for you, but now I have to clean my wings
I never thought the girl I'd take a bullet for would be the one to shoot me down
I can't believe I thought you deserved a crown

I don't hate you, but I don't like you much right now
You caused me to fall, I'm no longer scared of heights now
Some people ask why I'm shut off and no longer allow my heart to be open
Because I fixed a broken girl, just for her to leave me broken

She doesn't deserve a love song from me
She may be right for you, but she done a lot wrong to me
Cupid got his aim wrong, it appears that she doesn't belong with me
You might give her the right words, but she doesn't deserve a love song from me
