Notes About The Poem

June 23, 2023

She Dances

She dances she glances.
Beyond her shoulder
She peers.
Looking back
Her beautiful smile
She poses in the mirror.

Then with a lovely bow-
Like a whirling breeze
She spins
Twirling now
In rhythmic ballet
To chanting of violins.

Loved this poem this morning. A second and third reading of it helped my slow brain catch the greatness of the second stanza.
