She Danced Before Kings
The joy her mother felt holding her for the first time
she prayed for a girl to love unconditionally
passed onto her knowledge and wisdom
She danced in front of her family
he was her king in her shy world
dancing always put a smile on her face
the room became her court
her dad was well, please
She said " I'm going to grow up and
dance in front royalty, daddy"
"sure you will," he says,
as he smiles
A little girl with many hopes
visions on display in her mind
she continues dancing
growing while learning
Then tragedy comes to her life's end
people think that only evil wins
when it comes to death
because we can only perceive
on this side of the realm
This little girl who believed
she would dance before
conquers and rival noblemen
Believed so much in herself
her confidence on display
with each and every performance
many can't see the spirit
that holds on to us, deeply
yet, she did.
Clothed in a glowing gown of oleander white
she enters the courtroom of the highest God
great Jehovah on his golden throne
king of Israel seated on his right side
Heaven is now her stage
this is the moment
she has waited patiently for
A young girl filled with passion
she danced so beautifully
all of the heavens rejoices
God himself is forever pleased
by her presence
She danced before kings
