She Couldn'T Stay

SHE CAME TO STAY, NOT LONG

ENOUGH TO KNOW SHE COULD NOT STAY

HER LIGHTEST TOUCH A HESITANT DEMAND TO BE MYSELF

SO FAINT A SENSE NOW ALL TOO SOON ALMOST FORGOTTEN

A WHIRLCANE SHE CAME SO PERFECTLY WITH SUCH A SILENT ROAR

OH, HER DIFFERENCE MORE THAN SPECIAL

A THOUSAND AIRBORNE SEAS OF CONSTANT TIDE

YET NO SOFTER, WHISPERED WAVE SWEPT A SOUL

AND I, SO TAKEN LIGHTLY

LAMBENTLY LOVED AND LOVER

A JOY, TO BE, NOW AND FOREVER, ALL WAYS

I wish she could have stayed, it sounds like you do too, my friend. Maybe she will whirl back into your life? People often do.
