She

......SHE
She tried to hide
beneath the cotton dress
but when she walked she was always there.
The old women looked away.
The little girls stared.
The big girls hated her and it showed.

        and the boys...
        and the boys...
        and the boys...
we just went totally insane.

Everyone's heart broke
whenever they looked at her.

That's the kind of girl she was
and she just couldn't hide.
