Shattered Me
SHATTERED ME!
Scintillating splendor of stars
Stimulated me, gazing by the window,
Hugging the bars, feeling the freshness
My mind just a wanderlust!
Far away from my window
Under the boughs, he stood,
Sharing love from a distance
Solid souls connect love.
Shedding the fear of the
Weary wide world of mine
Knowing that I’m grown for it
I let out my hair for him.
His silhouette had the silver lining,
Offered by the moon it seems,
His smile sparkled and it opened me,
A whole new world of ours.
“Break the bars, feel my touch.”
I believed his sugary words.
Eighteen had cultivated curiosity.
I believed in uniting bodies.
Whole world resting and dreaming,
Me fulfilling my restless dreams.
Breaking the bars, under the bough
He called me to make love.
Untied my black hair,
Pressing me to his chest
Eyes closed, realized that,
There were more men around.
They smelt me everywhere.
Trauma of being deceived!
Rewinding his sparkling smile
His Poison of unending lust.
That night they shattered me!
Couldn’t even cry out loud.
Amalgamation of thoughts
To kill them or to die.
The night I believed his love,
Making me hate my windows,
Knowing that the bars were better.
Guilty of being impure.
By the window I still gaze
Looking for new poison
Wrapping me in a tattered blanket
Stashing the secret of that night.
