Shattered

Seems like the whole world is turning to grey
All of the colors are fading so quickly away
Even in black and white, and anything you say
Doesn’t mean very much at all to me today

The rainbow from the light is bending away
The prism cracked and shattered with me today
Leaving me behind in a pale shade of grey
Wish there was something more pretty to say

Words were written on balloons that floated away
Even if the sun broke thru the clouds someway
Any light coming thru my shattered heart today
Will only leave me behind in a pale shade of grey

Wish there was something more for me to say
I would even get down on my knees and purely pray
Any light coming thru my shattered eyes today
I would only see shadows in a pale shade of grey

Grey is the color today but I pray that is may be transformed into joyful colors.
