Shattered

Even my mom’s smile cannot get through anymore. As if there is a storm between us. I can feel myself going further inward… Flashes of remembrance are scary. The process of forgetting is painful. It feels permanent. The remnants of this episode will persist forever. Now, my fate that used to be so certain is confused. The sounds are shattering. And so are my secrets.
