Shattered

As we pass the night
I can feel your flight
It tears my heart
as we drift apart
As we walk
I miss how we used to talk
The silence is like glass
but it's shattered by the sound of brass
I take a deep breath
as I feel our friendship's death
As I try to sleep
my thoughts make me weep
