Pleiades
Only one word is allowed for a title followed by a single 7-line stanza, each line
having 6 to 8 syllables. The first word in each line must start with the same letter as the title.

Swift, agile predators, sharks patrol coral reefs swimming silently and stealthily among the shadows, they pursue prey, surgically culling sick and or injured fish. (Pleiades) 03/18/2022 In Search Of Prey Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Joseph May

back with my congrats for your well deserved win, Emile. I am so surprised. I am the only person who chose crocodiles, and I read online that they have killed more humans than the other animals that were listed!

Thanks, Andrea, I think crocodiles are too ugly to be likable, as always, I appreciate your comments my friend, Emile.

This read so well, Emile and I'm jolly glad that I'm never likely to meet up with one! Interestingly, I hadn't clicked that there was a specific syllable count for this form- it's not mentioned under the PS definition of this form. A well-deserved win.

Chilling but true Emile. It is amazing how they can swim in very shallow waters to prey on the unsuspecting. A perfect Pleiades Emile. This should be a top winner. We think about sharks when ever we are in the water here in the tropics. I have never encountered one but we keep aware. Blessings xxoo
