Sharing My Life With You

Sharing My Life With You
By Jeff Weiner

I sit here content with my life
Though never producing children or a wife,
Many trials and troubles I have seen
Walking my way through inbetween,

With family standing strong by my side
Keeping me open, not letting me hide,
Long distance hugs and I love you`s
Giving strength and courage to walk on through,

Diabetes from birth is still a fight
Admitting to drug adiction helps me see the light,
Learning to accept what is in front of me
Lets life move forward openly,

Knowing that love is in my heart
Keeps each day hopeful from the start,
Life is a jouney that will never end
This part of mine I`m happy to share with you my friend

What a lovely optimistic write Jeffrey - You have battled with Diabetes and Drug Addiction which is as difficult as it gets - You are lucky to have the support around you - Keep that support close and you will have the ability to achieve anything in your life - Keep the faith (Not God lol) - A enjoyable truthful write - Thanks for the share -:)

This is a great poem and your openess is something to admire...truthfulness in poems is the poets best tool...never hold back when it comes to how you feel and how you view your world and the one that spins around you...very well done...luke
