Shared Light

Stranger, You know my heart As if it were your very own Like a page opened before you You read it, understand and acknowledge I call you stranger Not because you are But because physically we’ve never met We however share what seems a kindred spirit A common light that glows brighter each time we’re near So now I can call you Friend

Michael, such a lovely verse. Surely we don't have to meet people to feel like they are our friends. That's something I learned on poetrysoup. I'm a fan and, hopefully, a friend. I appreciate your kind words on "Uncle Sam's Sticky Fingers." Love, Carolyn

Amazingly strong bonds can be formed with someone for whom we've never met. Sometimes social hangups leave us inhibited to our true selves of which we may never share with someone who we fear may judge harshly. A great write demonstrating the meeting of kindred minds!! Right on, Write on! Steve
