Shared Communion

we join each other
in communion,
knees on lush pillows
and wine shared
by our lips and tongues

hands clasped
together in prayer,
false repentance
followed by
shameless sin

only, the wicked
cast their shadows
through stained glass
and they’re more than
welcome

this is the church i share with you
we have more than enough room
