Share Your Heart With Me
By choice,
the nature of the heart
is guarded
by secrets not freely disclosed.
If your heart emotes a signal
both soft and old,
an ancient longing you can’t withhold,
a glimpse or glimmer maybe bestowed.
In silent speech you may detect
a feeling of familiar sameness
and wonder at the wonder
have we ever been met?
