Notes About The Poem

For Unseeking Seeker's Shape Shifting Soul poetry contest

Shape Shifting Soul

Line of inquiry:

"here I am in human form, but it was not always quite so earth is not the only planet I’ve been to through past life regressions I definitely know"

Flashbacks flicker of images unknown, wandering in gardens of cosmic scents. Beyond this existence we're not alone, as past is seen through Deja Vu events. This form is only flesh and bone contents. Soft soul knows this is no permanent home, yearning to return where it once did roam. In silence, spirit attempts to transcend, farther above twilight's galactic gloam. Travelling towards paths that never end.

I love this poem and your lines that rhyme. Your shape shifting soul travels 'towards paths that never end' Deja vu has been experienced by many on planet earth, but 'this form is only flesh and bone contents'. Whereas It is one's spirit that 'attempts to transcend farther above twilight's galactic gloam.' Very lovely poem. Silent one, my last poem was not for a contest. Blessings, Jennifer.

Without waxing eloquent or growing tedious, you have hit the nail on the head and the poetic form chosen suits the subject so well or you have made the form to suit your line of thoughts. Lovely poem comprising all elements, the lines of enquiry postulate. The flashbacks of previous experiences and the feel of Deja vu as you confront today's experience suggest that the shape shifting soul is in an on going process of change and 'continues to travel towards paths that never end'. The brevity and depth of this poem is so remarkable. Into my Fave.

Very true words spoken. Beautifully crafted. checks a tick for a saying " Deja Vu is a flash of a life we once lived before." Flashbacks flicker of images unknown, wandering in gardens of cosmic scents."

Ah, the mystic poet traveling through time and space in thoughtful images of "gardens of cosmic events" as "flashbacks flicker!" SO, every line is a journey into deja vu as the "soft soul travels "galactic gloam!" You have so wonderfully nailed down the theme! Best wishes for the contest. Blessings for your journey!

SO, Ahh to dream that we could go on forever. You make it sound enchanting. As a secularist, I love reading a piece such as this and it tempts me to change my philosophical bent. It's very charming indeed!

is it all an illusion or a dreamer's wish? life is eternal, not our life rather life on an unimaginable scale, whether it be as small as an atom or as vast as the universe, life never dies it changes into another form of energy that creates more life in a continuous string of dimensions...my thought

"Soft soul knows this is no permanent home, yearning to return where it once did roam." my fav line! beautifully evokes a nostalgic longing for a higher realm of existence, a soul's eternal want for its true home.
