Shape of the Heart
The shape of a heart will change, not completely
But seasoned with the passage of time
Some will still love, but others will falter
But all say, it's so hard to find
The way, the walk, the road that one follows
The loving, the giving, the prize
If anyone says that their way was easy
Look close at their life for more lies!
Loving is work
And encompasses the soul
When the youthful years vanish
And the hearts turn old
The trials of a lifetime
memories...regrets
Hands held so tightly,
the mind soon forgets
The shape of a heart
will change, not completely
But seasoned with the passage of time
Some will still love, but others will falter
But all say, it's so hard to find....
