Shameful Society
Bitter and alone in this twisted society,
gone wrong, all topsy turvy.
Elders stand, whilst hoodies sit,
they have no shame,
they're proud of it.
Walking 'round like real big men,
with a snarling beast
on a short chain.
In the night I hear a baby cry,
left for hours, left to die?
Times are hard, steal to survive,
locked away,
whilst paedophiles thrive.
The rich get richer,
crooks all the same,
on the take
whilst appointing the blame.
Politicians driven in their flash, shiny cars,
whilst the holes in my shoes
give my feet nasty scars.
If only they could see
how it is for many,
sleeping on the streets
without a single penny.
Oh,this society, broken gone askew.
If only those in power
really, truly knew.
