Shamed----By---The---Shore

SHAMED BY THE SHORE

As a child I felt patently pure
Jesus cleansed my unrighteous soul
As an adult I’ve now become unsure
Because life and love have taken their toll

Admiration is colored red
Joy is colored blue
At least that’s what someone said
And I say love is colored you

One evening you and I sat near a Tiki torch
I had a foreboding feeling that made me awesomely sad
You remained too quiet as we sat on your porch
Now that night will always remind me of what we once had

And so upon that porch was a torch and a pair
A pair that would soon be nevermore
You disagreed when I deemed that unfair
But your retort was “loving you is too much of a chore”

Your woeful words were ones I was made to endure
Because I had done so many things that were illegal
You became a gull free to soar by the shore
While you left me a bloody and flightless eagle

you should consider to stop doing illegal activities and begin to clean up the mess left behind by making restitution, publically and privately...maybe then some can get some peace and some respect might be actually deserved instead..apologies, confessions..etc..otherwise no respect would be given, and that tiki torch becomes nothing but all bad memories in dust..
