Shame on Us

Shame on us for prejudice
I know we're not alone
If you're one who does not have it
I welcome you to cast the stone
For you will be the first one
Since the one upon the cross
If it's true I'll nominate you
As of now to be the boss
For prejudice is damning
It's good for none at all
Those who practice knowingly
Cast an unattractive pall
Evaluate on merit
Not the color of the skin
To alleviate the pejudice
So it should never win
Heritage, religion,
Politics and so much more
Are always there for prejudice
They open up that ugly door
I know we cannot end it
That's not how we humans roll
Work hard to minimize it
Before it takes a further toll
