So tragic, sire. In few short lines, you have captured a heartbreaking story. Where is God in all these? I do not know. I only know when everything was created we weren't even there so I cannot question how He can allow these things to happen, I can only pray and hope for the best. The Philippines, poor country that we have, was the only one which accepted a large boat of refugees that has been denied entry by several Asian countries. We can relate to the situation. hugs!

Thank you for caring! God dear, Kim, is blameless. It is not His fault when men choose to become greedy, selfish and indifferent and care only for themselves the here and the now! Bravo to the Philippines that has accepted the ship. We accept two and three ships a day containing 2000 to 3000 refugees each day and we are only ten million and 132.000 square kilometers area. Thank you for visiting and commenting!

Unfortunately it happens often. In some Greek islands the refugees and illegal immigrants surpass the Greek population and it becomes increasingly difficult for a small country like us with so much economic and other problems to cope with the situation. Last year in the month of July arrived close to three thousand on an island. This year in the month of July more than 60.000 have arrived on the same island. This influx has destroyed tourism, the main income source for the Greeks. Big problems I am afraid coming for three more million are expected to pass into Greece this and next year if things do not change! This is Tragic for both people.

"I am happy if I helped. Michael, although I preferred this not to have taken place and the children and their mother be still alive!" Thank you!

I prayed for his father Abdullah. Aylan is in heaven and Galip is to. His father was quoted as saying, " Everything I was dreaming of is gone. I want to bury my children and sit beside them until I die." This is so sad. The pictures brought tears to my eyes. Only a fathers love can fathom the pain this tragedy has caused. Your poem is so true. Demetrios we mourn together, my friend.
