Shallow Waters

Shallow Waters.

There’s a place I sometimes go,
where peace I know I’ll find.
Hidden somewhere deep within
shallow waters of my mind.

Far beyond the raging seas
where troubles all abound.
It’s where the ripples softly flow,
this secret place I found.

Where worries cannot find me there,
regrets cannot persist.
There’s memories of Love I’ve known
and joy I can’t resist.

Where gratitude fills up my soul
and lovers take long walks.
I listen to the soothing sound
of water kissing rocks.

I’m watching as the sun goes down
and quietly I pray.
That God in all His Majesty
give me strength for one more day.

Lovely thoughts and enjoyable imagery, Ed. Your second line is in need of moving down a notch.
