Shallow Musings

I want you
Tonight
Cuz as ya can see
The stars ain't shinin' so
bright.
I want you.
Inside my skull.
And even though ya live in
a shack, that dribblin' twang
takes me back
so far, so gone
to the days I can't seem to
Forget.
I want you,
though you erode my brain.
Maybe someday, someday maybe
I'll be sane.
I'm laughing
on the inside.
Guess I shoulda trashed my rules
and ditched my pride.
I'm searching
for something to mend.
Cuz when you're dead
it's truly the end.
