Shadows On the Wall

Shadows on the wall
One is mine
The rest can fall

Never do they leave
Night after night
Number one pet peeve

I added more light
Blinding their looks
They doubled in spite

I then said BOO
Didn’t really help
Maybe scram or shoo

Covered with a sheet
Waste of time
Went down in defeat

Got a floor mop
Wall got cleaned
Twice now another flop

I am angry, but
Won’t give in
O’ where art thou?

Out went the light
They were erased
My Lord was right
I’m in the dark
Shadows cried out
So is your hallmark
