Shadows of a Dream

I sit here in the evening late,
Watching the golden sun
Descending behind the moon
Light,
Casting shadows of love lost
Wishing for the years gone by
Living in the past..
Daydreaming of what once was
But now all an illusion of a
Dream,
Shadows continue to gape upon
Me,
An illusion of all beautiful things
Is all that just a memory?
Whizzing through my mind leaving
Memories of your touch
To never be felt again
Only shadows and dreams of what
Once was..
I sit here in the evening late,
Watching the golden sun
Descending behind the moon
Light,
Wishing I could hold you once
Again..
