Shadows In Darkness
Walking through this world of darkness
I see the shadows
that position themselves
In the depths of my soul
Not knowing where they came from
Never understanding why they are here
How can they show themselves
against the dark of night?
With no light to shine my way,
how long must I be here?
I keep searching for the answers
in hopes to rid them
Taking another step I stumble
I see before me a broken heart
A fragile mind then appears
scarred from wounds from long ago
I feel the sting of reality
as the shadows fade into
reflections of times passed
