Shadows Cant Hurt

Chained by a past that would not let me fly
Wings of insanity floated ruthlessly by
Clouds of disorder drowned out the way
There was no hope until Jesus lit up my day
Injections of madness dripped through my veins
Alone in the sadness and rejected by the pain
If I had a bullet for every tear
I could have made the whole world disappear
Cold-blooded killers masked around as my friends
Beat me with kisses again and again
Where can one go when fire turns to ice?
Only to the healer who paid the full price
Now when the shadows call into the night
I smile and look up to my shining light
No one can take away what has already been done
I give thanks that the battle has already been won.
