Shadows and Flame(A Fantasy)

What lurks in the shadows late at night-
Out in the forest and out of sight,
What is that glare, that dancing light,
            Shadows and flame.

Who stands over there among the trees,
Buzzing around with sounds like bees,
Looking at me as if he sees--
          Shadows and flame.

Stop! He is coming this way!
What do I do! What should I say?
He is so handsome, it drives me insane-
    And into the shadows and flame.

And now he speaks, with voice so soft-
I feel I'm floating down from a loft,
And now I see all around me,
         Shadows and flame.

He speaks to me of love so true,
I hope in my heart that I'll never rue-
The day I met him while feeling so blue
While walking into Shadows and Flame.
