Ed had all his father's traits
blue-green soft eyes, reed physique
reckless, tempestuous streak
rich baritone, proud
untaught to love and be loved
After 12 Christmas dinners
whole dining table went cold
alone, he had to go rogue
young, kinless, awkward
learnt to hate and be hated
