Shadows

Written 22 September 2023 For : No. 1242 New Poem Only Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand Shadows Shadows on dim cavernous walls Are you just figments of the mind Or reflections of realities In the wake of the train of life Pursuing its ever hectic course! Sauntering shadows on the ground Are you outlines of human frames Given some curious shapes by light, Projections of the inner self Or renderings of human souls! Wandering shadows in the air Dancing eerie dances in line Are you spirits of roaming souls Warded off from staying in peace Or stubborn ghosts at war with earth! Amorphous shadows in heaven You whom human eyes cannot view Can you see us shed pearls for you Or feel our yearnings to hear you From wherever you may be perched! Hovering shadows in the space Can you glean what future forebodes With colossal warming apace, Whether a global massive flood Is awaiting humanity Or divine rule is near ahead!

Hello Krishnanand, I wonder how this question would be answered. Hugs. /Darlene/
