Shadows

Sometimes when you look deeper
And really see her

You realize you were wrong
Because she is extremely strong

You make up an excuse of why you messed up
But see that she isn't corrupt

She has beauty that is undeniable
When you see her there you are definitely liable

She lays there lying on the floor
You can’t hurt her anymore

Because she took on problems more than she could take
And all you want to do know is remember the fun

But all you can see is that it is all done
No one could make up that mistake

Especially because she didn’t fake
The experience she has hidden inside

That you caused her to die
The sun stopped shining you will find and she will go away

The wind will blow and take her away
Because she was a shadow in disguise

It is rare to have true equality in a relationship. Our needs and desires always differ and our attraction to each other is often what drives us apart in the end.
