in our darkest dreams there lurks a sullen shadow dreadfully daunting a wispy presence with the face of transgression tirelessly haunting waiting to enter the chamber of our deep sleep to begin taunting laughing as it leaves after planting a nightmare with evil flaunting

Lin, you've captured something about bad dreams and what causes them. Sometimes something happens that lets this thing in. It's somewhat out of our control.

OK...OK....so tonite I sleep with the light on and lock up the weapons so I don't shoot the friggin' cat....A nicely done romp with the Senryu form Lin

Keep your kitty alive. He'll let you know if there are sullen shadows lurking. I feel like I'm on the verge of writing a Twilight Zone episode. No rompinin' with creepy crawlers unless you start stompin' on them. Maybe I should delete this one.

Hey these rhyming ku’s are catching on Lin, they can be quite addictive and effective in this particular form, an excellent example here of how to let the thread run, albeit disturbingly so, I was eating pizza this evening, no doubt the beasts under my bed will be out in full force tonight, I can also blame your Senryu’s lol! Thankfully I haven't had one of those for a long time, when you wake up you feel spooked for the rest of the day. Best to sleep with one eye open. Hope you had a lovely weekend Lin. I'm back, well for now anyway. Tom

Thankfully, I can say I've never had one of those. I'm not sure what prompted these Senryu, and I almost didn't post them, but they were written. Thanks, Tom and I still envy your traveling adventures. Make the most of them!
