Shadowed Nightmare
in our darkest dreams
there lurks a sullen shadow
dreadfully daunting
a wispy presence
with the face of transgression
tirelessly haunting
waiting to enter
the chamber of our deep sleep
to begin taunting
laughing as it leaves
after planting a nightmare
with evil flaunting
